Eastchester High Lacrosse Team Supports Autism Research

From the Eastchester School District:

Eastchester Varsity Boys Lacrosse will light up Haindl Field Saturday, April 12th at 8pm.  The team will be playing Scarsdale Varsity to raise awareness of autism and support autism research.

This is the first of several team games organized by Eastchester Athletic Director Jason Karol and the Student Athletic Council to be played during April, National Autism Awareness Month. SEPTA (Special Ed PTA) will provide refreshments for the teams.  The Eastchester Eagles Sports Club has donated blue socks.

AD Karol said, “This is a special opportunity to educate the public about autism.  The student athletes came up with this idea and it is very gratifying to work with them for such a worthwhile cause.  Having the support of SEPTA and the Sports Club truly make this a community effort.”

The admission is $5.00 and all proceeds will benefit autism awareness.
