Eastchester Police Continue Search for Caller in Unfounded Hostage Incident
Police Special Weapons and Tactics personnel responded to the scene over the weekend.

Eastchester police are continuing their investigation into what turned out to be an unfounded report of a hostage situation over the weekend.
Police personnel from multiple departments, including a team of Special Weapons and Tactics officers, surrounded a home on Joyce Road in Eastchester Saturday evening, reports WABC-TV.
Officers discovered the home was empty and the call, from a private number, was a fake. The caller had told police that he had stabbed his girlfriend and was holding her family hostage.
