Eastchester's Polpettina to Donate Part of Proceeds to Cancer Research

The funds will go toward Swim Across America's efforts.

EASTCHESTER, NY — To benefit the Long Island Sound chapter of Swim Across America, Polpettina in Eastchester will donate 10 percent of its proceeds on Friday, August 5.

According to information from the restaurant, Kyle Inserra, a co-owner of Polpettina, said the date is a day before the Lake Isle Country Club swim, part of Swim Across America, which annually raises over a million dollars for local cancer research and services.

“Cancer has been very prevalent in my life, as I lost both my mother and stepfather to cancer within a two-week period when I was just 18,” he said, adding that he’s had other relatives with the disease.
