Elmsford Man Arrested after Alleged Yonkers Hit-and-Run Crash
The defendant was convicted of a separate DWI-related offense earlier this year, according to New York state police.

A 45-year-old Elmsford man was arrested Oct. 30 on felony charges of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st Degree in connection with a hit-and-run crash on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Yonkers.
According to state police, Kelcio M. Sousa was traveling northbound on the parkway “when he failed to maintain his lane of travel and struck another northbound vehicle.” He then left the scene of the accident but was “subsequently located and found to be intoxicated.”
Sousa’s felony charges were due to the discovery that he was convicted of a separate DWI-related offense earlier this year.

His Blood Alcohol Content was found to be .22 percent, according to state police. He was was released after posting station bail and was scheduled to appear before the City of Yonkers Court today, Nov. 2.
