Yonkers resident Michael Nolan, a 23-year-old left-handed pitching prospect of the Oakland A’s, has been declared brain dead, following a drive-by shooting incident last month when he struck in the head by a bullet.
News 12 reports that police believe Nolan was an innocent bystander when he was shot while standing in a Burger King parking lot on Central Park Avenue in Yonkers on Sept. 18.
The investigation into the shooting continues, according to police, who believe the shooting involved rivals from a street drag race days before.
