"The heat and light/moderate humidity will continue through the week with each day seeing highs in the mid to upper 80s," said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather. "As we get to mid week, we’ll begin to see the chances for an isolated afternoon T-Storm pop up."

Here's what the NWS says about the work week in southern Westchester:

• Today: Sunny, with a high near 85. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the afternoon.
• Tonight: Patchy fog after 3am. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 66. South wind around 6 mph becoming light and variable after midnight.
• Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 88. North wind 3 to 5 mph.
• Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 69. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
• Wednesday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 87. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.
• Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 70.
• Thursday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 85.
• Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70.
• Friday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 84.
• Friday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
