Update: Firefighters Injured Battling Blaze at Mount Vernon Church

Firefighters battled a blaze at Faith Temple Worship Center in Mount Vernon Monday morning, according to reports.

The three-alarm fire was reported just after 9 a.m. near South Fulton and East Third streets, and it reportedly gutted much of the building.

News 12 Westchester reports four firefighters suffered primarily heat-related injuries. No other injuries were reported.

Two neighboring buildings also sustained damage, primarily due to smoke, according to The Journal News.
