Former Yonkers Police Detective Sentenced in Perjury Case

The detective and a police officer lied on an application for a search warrant, according to prosecutors.

Former Yonkers Police Det. Christian Koch, 40, was sentenced Thursday to eight weekends in the Westchester County Jail following his recent guilty plea on one count of Perjury in the Second Degree, a class “E” Felony, announced Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore.

Prosecutors said Koch and former Yonkers Police Off. Neil Vera lied “in an application for a search warrant for ’141 School Street, apt#3, Yonkers, New York’” in a narcotics case.

“The false statement was made with intent to mislead a Yonkers City Court Judge in the performance of his official functions signing the warrant,” according to DiFiore.
