Go Red at NYP/Lawrence
Visit NYP/Lawrence hospital for free health screenings, a meet and greet with doctors and cooking demonstrations on Feb. 5.

NewYork-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital invites the public to join us for a special Go Red Day women’s health event on February 5, from 11 AM to 1 PM in the hospital’s main lobby.
Hospital staff will be conducting free blood pressure, BMI and cholesterol screenings to give visitors the information they need about their heart health. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet NewYork-Presbyterian/Lawrence doctors and learn about NYP/Lawrence’s new cardiac catheterization laboratory. There will be two dietary presentations, at 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM, which will teach participants how a vegetarian diet can be beneficial for heart health.
The hospital’s Registered Dietitians will teach visitors smart ways to cut back on sodium, which can reduce risk for high blood pressure and stroke, and reduce bloating and weight gain. All are welcome to sign the American Heart Association and NYP/Lawrence’s sodium pledge to help them achieve a more heart healthy diet.
