Join NYP/Lawrence for National Walking Day
NYP/Lawrence Hospital doctors will lead walks on Wednesday, April 6.
Physical activity is an important part of everyone's day. The majority of people do not meet the recommended daily guidelines for exercise, which means they are at greater risk for heart disease, stroke and other blood vessel disease. That is why NewYork-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital is the regional sponsor of National Walking Day this year.
On Wednesday, April 6, we kick off a celebration designed to help us all become more active. Lace up your sneakers and find 30 minutes to get up and walk with our docs!
Dr. Sri Kalapatapu will lead a walk around the Bronxville duck pond behind the hospital at 12 PM.
Dr. Matilda Taddeo will lead a 1 PM walk around the duck pond. Please RSVP on Facebook here.
Kick off will begin in the hospital's main lobby at 11:30 AM, where a hospital physical therapist will lead walkers in stretches to prepare them for their mid-day exercise!
If you have an NYP/Lawrence jacket or tee-shirt, please wear it to show your support. We will have more tee-shirts to hand out to participants as well as goodies to thank you for joining us in our efforts to become more active!
