The talk, which is free and open to the public, will be given by Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum Docent and writer Doug Hearle.

The following announcement is from the Anne Hutchinson-Bronxville Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution:

They were neither to be seen nor heard as they served some of the great houses of Westchester more than a century ago. But come February, the Anne Hutchinson-Bronxville Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will uncover their forgotten stories in a fascinating lecture hosted by the chapter entitled, “The Invisible Irish of the 19th Century.”

The talk, which is free and open to the public, will be given by Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum Docent and writer Doug Hearle on Saturday, February 7th at 1PM in the Yeager Community Room at the Bronxville Public Library.

Author of the recently published novel Outsource, Hearle has done extensive research on the Irish servants who lived on the Bartow-Pell estate in the nineteenth century, uncovering the untold stories of these immigrants who worked in the shadows after fleeing famine and dissolution in Ireland.

Program Chair and Anne Hutchinson-Bronxville Chapter DAR Historian, Margaret Highland, encourages anyone who likes a good story to attend the February 7th Lecture at the Bronxville Public Library.
