Lisa Yui Piano Recital Postponed

Notice from Oxana Mikhailoff, director of Midland Music:

With much regret I must inform you that Dr. Lisa Yui will not be able to perform this Saturday due to a physical injury. In recognition of how much all of you were looking forward to Dr. Yui’s encore performance, I have made a change in the schedule. The Yale Whiffenpoofs of 1969 will be moved for next season. Lisa Yui will perform instead on Sunday, May 22 at 3:00 PM.

Midland Music, the professional music series of the Bronxville Women’s Club, 135 Midland Avenue, Bronxville, NY, will present its next concert on Saturday, March 12, at 7:30 pm. Performing will be pianist Lisa Lui who wowed the audience last season. On the faculty of the Manhattan School of music, and a music historian along with being a concert pianist, Dr. Lui will explain and perform Schumann’s Fantasy in C Major and Liszt’s Sonata in B Minor, two of the greatest solo piano works of the nineteenth century. Music Director of the series is Oxana Mikhailoff. Reserve early for a discount on tickets. BWC members: $15/$18; General public: $20/$25; Seniors: $18/$22; Students: $5.
