Man Caught Breaking into Car May Be Linked to Past Bronxville Crimes

Michael Jiminez, 26, may be linked to a number of other larceny crimes committed in the village.

Bronxville Police believe a Mount Vernon resident arrested last Friday morning for attempted petty larceny may be responsible for multiple other past larceny crimes committed in the village.

Michael Jiminez, 26, was spotted trying to break into a parked car at a Prescott Avenue residence around 2:40 a.m. last Friday by a 52-year-old woman and her teenage son living at the address. He was arrested shortly after that time when officers Paul Cavallo and Thomas Roviezzo intercepted him on Paraside Road. He was later transported to Westchester County Jail and held there on $2,500 bail.

Bronxville Police detectives believe Jiminez is also responsible for multiple larcenies from vehicles in the village, but physical evidence has not yet linked him to those crimes.
