Man Tried to Use Fake Social Security Card to Gain NY ID: State Police
The incident occurred in the Department of Motor Vehicles office in Yonkers.

A 44-year-old Bronx man was arrested by state police Wednesday after he tried to use a fake Social Security card to obtain a New York State ID card, according to authorities.
Richard Castro was charged with Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree and Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st Degree, both felonies.
State police said Castro tried to use fake card at the Department of Motor Vehicle office located in Yonkers to obtain a NYS ID Card. The New York State Police worked in conjuction with the New York State DMV Investigations Unit.

Castro was arraigned in the City of Yonkers Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail.
