Massachusetts Woman Delivers 1st 2019 Lawrence Hospital Baby
She was visiting family in the Bronx when she began having labor pains on New Year's Eve.

BRONXVILLE, NY — A woman who happened to be 36 weeks pregnant and happened to be near southern Westchester gave birth to NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital's first baby of the New Year in Bronxville. Darline Pinto and Anthony Rodriguez, who live in Worcester, Massachusetts, were visiting family in the Bronx when Pinto began having labor pains on New Year's Eve.
The next thing she knew she was in the hospital preparing to deliver her first child, earlier than expected.
Pinto gave birth to Miabella Rose Rodriguez at 10:51 a.m. Jan. 1, according to a hospital spokeswoman.

The baby girl was 4 pounds 13 ounces and was 18 inches long. She was delivered by Dr. Elizabeth Paskowski, an obstetrician/gynecologist, who practices at NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital.
The hospital delivers an average of 1,300 babies each year.
