Mompreneurs: From Photography to Candy, they can do it all!

When I started telling people about my "Mompreneur" show on, Live with Noel, people kind of giggled at the title.  I thought more people would be familiar with the term.  After all, I am sure you can think of quite a few mom's who despite giving up their corporate job to be a stay at home mom, also wanted to take their passion and turn it in to a profit making machine.

Take my friend Christina Torpie.  Prior to being a mom, she worked for a mortgage company and a footwear company.  After having her son Colin, she left her corporate job and took on two other jobs.

"I left my job in fashion to become a stay at home mom and the full time photographer I was always destined to be. It feels natural for me to take on my new role as mom with a baby bottle in one hand and my camera in the other," says Christina Torpie.

Christina Torpie Photography specializes in children's pictures, family portraits, maternity photos, weddings, and more.  View some of her beautiful photographs above.

Lilly Teich is a pretty sweet mom to her two sons, Jaxen, 2 years and Jake 7 months.  Lilly is the owner of "Dive In Sweets" a full service candy buffet company.

Lilly is just one other example of the millions of moms who are looking to stay at home with their kids, while also taking their talents to fulfill their entrepreneurial spirits.  As a creative mom who loves to decorate, Lilly started her own company.

So, why candy buffets?  "Not only are they delightful edible treats, but they can also serve as favors as much as party decorations" says Lilly. "When we think of candy, we think for kids, but nowadays, more formal gatherings such as weddings feature candy buffets as well". (Photographs above)
