Mount Vernon Man Faces 2 Felony Charges For Trying To Cash Fake Check, Having Fake Credit Card

Police arrived at the bank while the man was still inside.

BRONXVILLE, NY — A Mount Vernon man was arrested in Bronxville for trying to cash a fraudulent check and having a fraudulent credit card. Bronxville Police said Isaiah Cousins, 21, of Mount Vernon, was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, felonies.

Police were alerted by the bank manager of the Citibank located at 95 Pondfield Road that Cousins was allegedly trying to cash a fake check in the amount of $3,965.65. The arresting officer arrived while Cousins was still inside the bank.

Police said he was also in possession of a fraudulent Citibank MasterCard.

Cousins was arraigned and taken to the Westchester County jail in lieu of $1,000 bail.
