Plea Entered In Stabbing Death Of Westchester Woman
Joseph Abraham was accused of killing his wife who was half his age.

A Yonkers man has entered a plea in the stabbing death of his wife. Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino Jr. announced Tuesday that Joseph Abraham, 54, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, a felony. He is scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 22.
Scarpino said, around 1:30 a.m. May 21, 2017, Abraham and his wife, Amanda Trenck, 25, had an argument in their Van Cortlandt Park Avenue apartment.
At about 9 a.m., Abraham was found unconscious in a full bathtub. Cuts were visible on both of his wrists and the right side of his neck.

Trenck’s body was found in their bedroom slumped over the bed with multiple stab wounds and a large amount of blood around here.
Following a 911 call, Yonkers police and emergency services responded to the location.

Abraham was was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital for treatment. Trenck was declared dead at the scene.
Two knives were recovered from the bedroom where her body was found.
Yonkers detectives interviewed Abraham in the hospital where he was arrested and charged with his wife’s death.
He faces 25 years to life in state prison.
