Police Chase Of Stolen Vehicle Injures 1 Cop

A Westchester County police officer was injured as a result of a police chase Sunday morning on the Hutchinson River Parkway. The chase began in Mount Vernon and ended in the Bronx with the driver suspect found hiding in a shed.

The officer was injured when the fleeing vehicle read-ended her police cruiser, the Journal News said.

The pursuit began around 9:30 a.m. when the car was reported stolen and was traveling in Mount Vernon.

A female passenger, who was a victim in the crime, was found when the car was finally stopped near 4230 Boston Post Road, the Journal News said.
