Police ID Man Whose Body Was Found In Yonkers

The man whose body was found on the side of the road in Yonkers the morning of July 16 has been identified. Yonkers Police Department said Brian Brain, 35, a Queens resident, was found shot numerous times in the vicinity of eastbound Tuckahoe Road by the Thruway overpass.

A passerby discovered the body around 8:30 a.m. and immediately called the police, authorities said.

Detectives from the Major Case Squad and Crime Scene Unit are actively investigating the incident, interviewing witnesses, canvassing for surveillance video and processing forensic evidence.

No further information will be released at this time, police said.
