Police Offer Reward in Connection with Bronxville Home Invasion

The village police department is teaming up with New York State Crime Stoppers for the reward.

New York State Crime Stoppers is assisting the Bronxville Police Department by offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information “leading to the arrest and conviction” of the persons responsible for a violent home invasion over the weekend on Summit Avenue, Chief Christopher Satriale announced.

Anyone with information regarding this incident should immediately call the NYS Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-866-313-Tips (8477).

“Callers can remain anonymous,” said Satriale in a statement. “We don’t need to know who you are, just what you know.”

According to police, on Saturday at approximately 10:58 p.m., two suspects entered the master bedroom closet of the home through a second story window and accosted the homeowners while in bed, assaulted the husband striking him in the head and forcing him under the bed.

The suspects then ordered the wife to assist them in collecting money, jewelry, and a coin collection as well as her engagement ring and wedding band. The wife was then ordered under the bed and the perpetrators fled out the front door.

Police said that both suspects are believed to be black males.
