Two Women Accused of Prostitution in Eastchester

Undercover officers arrested the two after an investigation into a spa on Main Street, police said.

An investigation into a spa on Main Street led undercover officers to charge two Queens women with prostitution Friday, Eastchester police said.

Earlier this month police received anonymous information about the establishment, which was being advertised as the Yantuina Spa on Craigslist and Backpage.com, Chief Timothy Bonci said.

Bonci said the spa, at 187 Main St., was not open to the public, but through the ad, customers could contact the establishment. The customer would be met outside and brought in, he said.

Yanli Zhang, 41, and Yan Zhang, 36, both from Flushing, were charged with promoting prostitution in the fourth-degree, a misdemeanor, and unauthorized practice of a profession, a felony, according to police.

The two were arraigned and bail was set at $1,000, police said. Both were transported to the Westchester County jail, police said. They are due in town court on Feb. 9.

“Obviously we have a zero tolerance for that type of establishment in the town,” said Bonci. “…We’ve had a few of these types of arrests over the years. [We] always deal with them very quickly.”
