Power Outages From Heavy Winds In Hudson Valley Sunday
Scattered outages are the result of the winds gusting up to 50 mph.

High winds Sunday have caused some scattered power outages in the Hudson Valley. Winds were forecast to be 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 50 mph, which could have blown down limbs, trees and power lines.
As of 6:30 p.m. Sunday, there were 225 Con Edison customers with power outages. Most were estimated to be resolved Sunday evening.
Mamaroneck and the Village of Rye Brook were the hardest hit with 89 and 70, respectively.

There were also outages in Bronxville, Cortlandt, Harrison and Scarsdale.
NYSEG customers in Westchester and Putnam were also experiencing outages.

Hardest hit in Westchester were the towns of Lewisboro and Pound Ridge. In Putnam, the Town of Putnam Valley had 399 affected customers.
Orange & Rockland customers in Rockland number 61 without electricity. There are 68 in Orange without power. O&R listed no estimated restoration times.
There are also a smattering of outages among Central Hudson customers.
The electricity company listed 101 affected customers, of which 87 are in Ulster County. Wawarsing, Woodstock and Rochester were the hardest hit. Central Hudson estimated restoration for Woodstock at 7:30 p.m. Sunday and Woodstock and Rochester for 3 a.m. Monday.
