Reformed Church of Bronxville to Perform Durufle's 'Requiem'

Close to 100 performers will participate in the free concert.

BRONXVILLE, NY — The Reformed Church of Bronxville will present a free concert Sunday, Nov. 20.

The Chancel Choir will be joined by guest choristers from nearby communities to perform Durufle’s “Requiem.”

Dr. Sandor Szabo will conduct the work, which is based on Gregorian chant and is influenced by composers Debussy and Ravel, according to organizers.

The program will also include Chopin’s Second Piano Concerto, with Szabo as soloist.

The concert will begin at 3 p.m. at the Reformed Church of Bronxville, located at 1880 Pondfield Rd. in Bronxville.
