Rossini's 'La Cambiale di Matrimonio' to Be Performed at Bronxville Reformed Church
The comic opera will be fully staged with soloists and chamber orchestra.

BRONXVILLE, NY — The Bronxville Reformed Church will present a fully staged presentation of the comic opera "La Cambiale di Matrimonio" by Rossini.
The performance, complete with chamber orchestra and soloists, will take place at 7 p.m. Jan. 28.
According to organizers, this was Rossini’s first opera and was performed when he was just 18 years old. Within three years, his name was virtually synonymous with Italian comic opera, both at home and abroad.

Rossini’s music is enduringly popular, nearly two centuries after his death-it continues to lift up our spirits in laughter and fun.
The cast for this performance features Jimi James, baritone; Jennifer Ribeiro, soprano; David Kellett, tenor; David Morrow, bass-baritone; Justin Beck, bass-baritone; Julie Diniz, mezzo-soprano, and conductor and director Dr. Sandor Szabo.

The free performance will be held in Edwards Hall and seating is limited. The Reformed Church of Bronxville is located at 180 Pondfield Road in Bronxville.
