Saw Mill River Cleanup to Take Place Saturday
Volunteers will be at eight sites from Yonkers northward.
The seventh annual Great Saw Mill River Cleanup will take place Saturday, April 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Organized by Groundwork Hudson Valley and the Saw Mill River Coalition, the event will see more than 250 volunteers pitching in to clean up the Saw Mill River at eight sites: Van Der Donck Park (Yonkers), Ann Street (Yonkers), Hearst Street (Yonkers), Farragut Avenue (Hastings), Lawrence Street (Dobbs Ferry), Bridge Street (Ardsley) and VE Macy Woodlands Lake (Irvington).
Ginsburg Development Companies is the lead sponsor and is contributing $10,000 to the event.

Orvis will be demonstrating fly fishing at the Farragut site from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
L.L. Bean will be contributing kayaks and canoes for midstream trash collection at the VE Macy location.
