Sleepy Hollow Artist Jeff White Displays Work at Bronxville Women's Club

The exhibit by White and artist Robert Patierno are woodcut projects from Totemic17.

Woodcut projects by Sleepy Hollow artist Jeff White and Robert Patierno will be on display at the Bronxville Women’s Club from Nov. 1 through Dec. 29, organizers announced.

A reception for the exhibit will be held on Sunday, Nov. 8, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the club, located at 135 Midland Ave. in Bronxville.

The works are part of Totemic17, which publishes one woodcut portfolio per year, each with about a dozen artists, mixing highly acclaimed with emerging talents.

The projects are comprised of our 17 distinct block sizes and integrate community engagement via murals, workshops, demos and/or alternative exhibition spaces. Prints are available individually or by project in the project’s signature archival portfolio box.

Totemic17 is directed by White, who is also a MoMA preparator.

PATIERNO Totemic17’s first solo-artist project: 17 prints laced with satire & brimming with intoxicating authenticity, from a life lived in rural PA. If R. Crumb is to Wes Craven then Robert Patierno is to Hitchcock in the measured unsettling of his otherwise wholesome Americana. He is a keen observer & a masterful composer at “the funnel of art history” & this collection is true PATIERNO. totemic17.com/projects/patierno,-2015-16
