Sunday Series: Local Wildlife
A look through the lens of Bronxville-based photographer Jay Wilson.

Welcome to Sunday Series, a photographic look at Bronxville, Tuckahoe and Eastchester through the lens of Bronxville-based photographer Jay Wilson. Every week, we'll post a new photo, taken by Wilson, depicting life in the three communities.
June 20: I'm always suprised by the abundance of wildlife on the Bronx River. Geese, turtles, and fish abound, despite the river's shaky history of pollution and neglect. Amazing strides have been made in recent years, which make the recent oil spill in White Plains that much more tragic. Here, a Black Crested Night Heron looks for fish at the falls in Bronxville.
