Sunday Series: Patriotism on Pondfield

Welcome to Sunday Series, a photographic look at Bronxville, Tuckahoe and Eastchester through the lens of Bronxville-based photographer Jay Wilson. Every week, we'll post a new photo, taken by Wilson, depicting life in the three communities.

July 4: As we celebrate Independence Day across the area, I was struck by the beauty of another glorious summer evening in Bronxville. The American flag flapping gently above Pondfield Road is a reminder that we are all connected by a common history, and that the same flag is flying over small towns and bustling cities from coast to coast. 

Jay Wilson is  a fairly recent transplant to Bronxville, having moved here in 2006 after spending a decade living in Manhattan.
