Sunday Series: Twilight Over the Tracks

June 27: Twilight. That fleeting hour between sundown and night time when the sky turns various shades of intense blues and pinks.

Walking west on Pondfield Road, I always look up before passing under the train tracks. I find the lanterns looming overhead almost gothic in their appeal, and the sky never fails to suprise me.

On a recent late Spring night, I had to stop and gaze at this amazing sky, framed by the wrought iron of the overpass fence and lantern.

Jay Wilson is  a fairly recent transplant to Bronxville, having moved here in 2006 after spending a decade living in Manhattan. He began studying photography in high school, and has been passionate about the medium ever since. Currently, he shoots with a Pentax Digital SLR.
