Two girls suffered injuries Monday afternoon after they were struck by an SUV on Main Street in Yonkers, according to reports.
Police said the girls were on the sidewalk in front of the United States Post Office when the vehicle jumped the curb, struck a parking meter and then hit them. The driver is believed to have confused the gas pedal for the brake, writes WABC-TV.
Both girls were treated at an area hospital, but their injuries appeared to be non-life threatening.
