Syracuse University Student From Tuckahoe Dies Unexpectedly

TUCKAHOE, NY — A Syracuse University freshman, who was a Tuckahoe resident, died unexpectedly.

School officials said John "Jack" Lundin died Wednesday night, the Journal News reported.

He was studying magazine, news and digital journalism in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.

The cause of his death has not been disclosed.

Lundin's death came a day after another Syracuse freshman, Trevor Daley Pierce, was killed when he was skateboarding Tuesday and collided with a student-transportation trolley, the New York Daily News reported.

Pierce was from Jaffrey, New Hampshire.
