Tire Comes Loose On Hutch Parkway, Breaks Windshield
A mother and daughter were injured by the broken glass.
EASTCHESTER, NY — A mother and daughter were injured early Monday morning when a tire flew off an SUV and broke their car’s windshield. Police said they received cuts from the broken glass but their injuries were not life-threatening.
The driver of the SUV said her vehicle, including the tires, had just been serviced on Saturday, the Journal News said.
The incident happened on the Hutchinson River Parkway around Exit 16, Webster Avenue, just before 7 a.m. and blocked traffic in both directions during the morning commute.
