TUCKAHOE, NY — A Hudson Valley craft brewery is one of four in the state to win top honors at a national beer competition.

Broken Bow Brewery of Tuckahoe won a gold medal in the Belgian-style Strong Specialty Ale category for its Old Split-foot, which was described as “a full-bodied Belgian ale with a complex flavor of blended fruit, honey and cloves.”

The competition was the 35th Great American Beer Festival, which took place in Colorado Oct. 6-8.
