Tuckahoe Hotel Gets Planning Board OK to Build on Landfill

The site is contaminated with hazardous chemicals.

TUCKAHOE, NY — A controversial plan to build a Marriott hotel on a former landfill took another step forward this week when the Tuckahoe planning board gave its approval.

The Marbledale Road Environmental Coalition has a petition that urges the board to do a full environmental assessment of the vacant site, the Journal News said.
