Tuckahoe School Budget OK'd, Property Purchase Nixed

TUCKAHOE, NY — The voters of the Tuckahoe Union Free School District approved the budget for the 2017-18 school year. The unofficial vote was 731 for the budget and 337 against the budget.

The budget package for the Tuckahoe school district was $32,502,899, up 1.85 percent from the current year’s spending plan.

The proposition to purchase 110 Ridge Street was rejected 645 to 406.

Out of six candidates, Michelle Liscio and Peter Casson were elected to three-year terms and Cynthia Biondi Tait was elected to a one-year term.
