Volunteer Opportunities Of The Week: Foster Care; School Supplies
Every week, Patch will spotlight volunteer opportunities somewhere in the Hudson Valley.
Each week Patch will be highlighting a volunteer opportunity — or two — in the Hudson Valley. This will be a chance to help your community and be an opportunity to give back — in perhaps a way you didn't consider before.
And if you have some need for volunteers, be sure to let us know by emailing michael.woyton@patch.com.
This week we are putting the spotlight on a couple of opportunities in the Hudson Valley.

H.A.W.T. Muse, which aims to provide young women transitioning out of the foster care system with the tools and resources they need to grow and be successful, is looking for a program manager and coordinator.
The volunteer has the ability to work remotely to plan and coordinate multiple programs, manage a team and coordinate special events. All volunteers are subject to a background check.

Next, Hope Community Services is collecting school supplies for children. Organizers said it's a great opportunity for students, church groups and corporate teams to organize at home, at work and in their communities.
Supplies that are needed include backpacks, crayons, notebooks (both spiral and composition), pens and pencils, highlighters, loose-leaf paper and more.
