Weather Alert: Low Humidity, Higher Risk of Wildfires
Be careful with outdoor burnings or discarding smoking materials in Bronxville, Tuckahoe and Eastchester, the National Weather Service warns

The National Weather Service has issued two warnings for Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties:
The issue is that relative humidities are dripping to 15-25 percent today.

And with north winds gusting between 20 and 25 MPH, this will result in an enhanced risk for the growth and spread of any wildfires that develop today.
“Be especially careful with any outdoor burning or discarding of smoking materials,” the NWS warns.
