Weekend Weather: Clouds and Sun

Last weekend we saw constant threats of strong storms, but the news is pretty good for this upcoming weekend in Westchester County.

Yes, there may be some clouds and a slight chance of showers early Saturday, but no chance of strong storms, and it appears Sunday will be a beautiful weather day if you have outdoor plans.

“As we look to the weekend… Saturday looks absolutely fantastic,” writes Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather. “We’ll see early morning clouds give way to mostly sunny skies for the afternoon, and temps should approach 80 degrees with low humidity. Sunday looks to see a mix of clouds and sun… but it’s a dry day, with temperatures again in the 70s to near 80 degrees.”

Before we get to the weekend, it will remain mostly cloudy on Friday with temperatures in the mid-60s.

And of course as soon as we return back to work on Monday, the forecast calls for a chance of rain both Monday and Tuesday.

Here is the latest forecast from the National Weather Service for communities in Westchester:

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 55. Light and variable wind.

Saturday: A slight chance of showers between 7am and 8am. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 75. North wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 50. North wind around 6 mph.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 71. Light and variable wind becoming southeast 5 to 10 mph in the morning.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 53.

Monday: A chance of showers after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 75. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Monday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
