Writers: Sarah Lawrence College is now On-Line

Bronxville, March 15, 2016—Sarah Lawrence College’s renowned writing program is now available online, giving writers across the globe the opportunity to hone their craft from the comfort of their homes.

Small classes allow participants the chance for both group interaction as well as one-to-one time with Sarah Lawrence’s award-winning writing professionals who are top in their field and bring their passion, creativity and talent to students of The Writing Institute.

In the past, students needed to live near the college to be able to take advantage of these classes during specific times. Now, The Writing Institute is opens to writers worldwide.

For writers who have a draft work they are not sure is exactly right, editor Caitlin Alexander’s workshop, Self-Edit Your Fiction may be the perfect way to ensure that they’ve got plot, structure, and character development just right. Alexander has acquired and edited upmarket fiction, women’s fiction, historical fiction, suspense, romance, and narrative nonfiction, in addition to advising on trade paperback acquisitions and reading group content. She has edited New York Times bestsellers such as The Year of Fog by Michelle Richmond and Homer’s Odyssey by Gwen Cooper among other books.

Writers working on a memoir who need extra motivation and direction to stay on track may find Jump Start Your Memoir helpful. Author Alexandra Soiseth has been teaching personal writing and memoir writing for more than 15 years. She can help writers to deepen their voice and maximize their story telling potential. Her humorous, sensitive, and poignant memoir Choosing You was published in 2008 by Seal Press.
