Writing Institute at Sarah Lawrence Announces New Year Classes
Registration is open for January, February, and March 2022 classes
Registration is now open for Spring 2022 open enrollment classes at the Writing Institute at Sarah Lawrence College. For nearly 40 years, the Writing Institute has provided a supportive community for writers through workshops, classes, intensives, youth writing programs, and more. Writing Institute students have gone on to publish novels, memoirs, poetry collections, books for children and young adults, articles, essays, and more. Classes are offered in everything from novel writing to memoir, poetry to publishing, comedy writing to character development. On campus classes take place at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, NY, while virtual classes can be attended from anywhere.
Classes begin in January with sessions also available in February and March, giving writers a chance to kickstart a new year of writing and creativity. Some brand new classes are on offer in 2022, including Poetry & Memory with Tyler Mills; Write Your Novel Now with local author Barbara Josselsohn; History As Character: Using Historical Facts & Research in Fiction with Ginger McKnight-Chavers, and more. Returning are popular classes such as Life Stories: A Writing Workshop for Ages 50+ with Cindy Beer-Fouhy and Tap The Senses, Write The Scene: Creative Nonfiction with Kathy Curto.
Whether one is taking their first writing class or finishing their latest book, the Writing Institute at Sarah Lawrence College has something for everyone. Learn more at https://slc.edu/writing-institute.
