The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Brooklyn.

Hello all. I'm back in your inbox this morning with your new edition of the Brooklyn Daily. Here are all the most important things to know about what's happening in the community today...
First, today's weather:
Mostly cloudy, showers around. High: 73 Low: 65.
Here are the top 3 stories today in Brooklyn:
- A 40-year-old man has been arrested after stabbing another man during a Labor Day argument over a seat on a bench in Crown Heights. Police officers monitoring the nearby West Indian Day Parade quickly came to the aid of the 34-year-old victim and arrested the suspect, Jason Morris, without incident. Morris was charged with assault and his arraignment in Brooklyn Criminal Court was pending as of Tuesday. (New York Daily News)
- A Brooklyn soup kitchen is offering relief for asylum seekers from Texas, as well as countries like Guatemala, Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Ecuador. The Masbia Soup Kitchen Network has seen an influx of hundreds of asylum seekers over the past several months, following a move by Texas Governor Gregg Abbott intended to criticize national immigration policies. Organizers at the soup kitchen say they provide necessities such as socks, shoes, and food packages to migrants to help make their transition to the United States as smooth as possible. (News 12 Long Island)
- Michelin has added 30 restaurants from across New York City to its latest guide, including several from the Brooklyn area. Clover Hill in Brooklyn Heights, Aldama and Ensenada in Williamsburg, and Place des Fêtes in Clinton Hill were just a few local eateries to make the cut. Each of the new additions is also eligible for the organization's annual awards, which will be announced on Oct. 6 at a ceremony in Hudson Yards. (Eater NY)
