A 15-Year-Old Boy Was Shot In The Head In Brooklyn, Police Say

BROOKLYN, NY — A 15-year-old boy was shot in the head on Friday evening in Brownsville, New York City Police Department officials said.

The boy, named Malachi Deberry, was found by police at 1145 Lenox Rd. with gunshots in the head on Friday night at 8:42 p.m., NYPD officials said.

Emergency responders rushed the victim to Maimonides Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Police have not made any arrests yet, but the investigation is underway, officials said.
