16-Year-Old Accused Of Bringing Gun To Brooklyn School: Police

The boy was taken into custody, police said.

BROOKLYN, NY — A 16-year-old boy was arrested on Tuesday afternoon on suspicion of bringing a handgun to his high school in East Flatbush, New York City Police Department officials said.

The boy was accused of bringing a 9-millimeter gun to Samuel J. Tilden High School in East Flatbush around 4:15 p.m., police said. The school is located at 5800 Tilden Ave.

The boy was taken into custody and charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second and fourth degrees, criminal possession of a weapon on school grounds, and criminal possession of a firearm, police said.
