The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Brooklyn.

Hello, Brooklyn! I'm Sean Peek and I'm filling in for your usual curator Patrick for the next couple of days. Please note that your newsletters may be a bit lighter during this time. Now, here are all the most important things to know about what's happening locally.
First, today's weather:
Some sun, a t-shower; cooler. High: 71 Low: 63.
Here are the top four stories today in Brooklyn:
- Glock, one of the world's largest gunmakers, is being sued over a mass shooting aboard the Brooklyn subway. Ilene Steur, 49, suffered life-changing injuries during the gas mask-wearing gunman's rampage last month. The gunman used a 9-mm. gun manufactured by Glock — and Steur's lawsuit in Brooklyn Federal Court alleges Glock markets its weapons in a way that is a "public nuisance" under state law and endangers public safety. (New York Daily News)
- Teresa Migut of Brooklyn won a top prize from the New York Lottery's $3,000,000 Fortune scratch-off game. Her prize, which she chose to receive as a single, lump-sum payment, was for $1,671,415 after required withholdings according to a NY Lottery said. Migut purchased her ticket at Colonial Deli in Brooklyn, NY Lottery said. (Daily Voice)
- A burglar stole a historic tabernacle valued at $2 million at a Brooklyn Catholic church on May 27. The burglar decapitated angel statues flanking the tabernacle and threw consecrated hosts from inside the tabernacle over the altar at St. Augustine Catholic Church — according to a Brooklyn diocesan news release. A safe in the sacristy also was cut open but nothing was inside. The theft was discovered by the pastor on May 28. (CatholicPhilly.com)
- According to police, a 45-year-old woman was on Troy Avenue when an unknown man fired a gun multiple times at 12:10 a.m. on May 29. The female victim was hit once in her left leg and the suspect fled the scene on foot. The woman was taken to Kings County Hospital and there were no other injuries reported. (AMNY)
