4 Teen Girls Charged For NYC Subway Robbery Of 71-Year-Old
The teens all face robbery, assault and harassment charges, police said.

BROOKLYN, NY — Four teen girls have been arrested and charged for attacking a 71-year-old woman during an attempted robbery inside a Brooklyn subway station on New Year’s Day, police announced.
The teens, ages 13, 14 and two 15-year-olds, were taken into custody last week and all face robbery, assault and harassment charges, police said.
The group is accused of attacking the 71-year-old woman as she was going through the turnstiles at the Hoyt Street station, police said.

The girls attempted to take the victim's bag and began punching her in the face.
Unsuccessful in taking the bag, the group fled the station, police said.

The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated at The Brooklyn Hospital Center.
