9-Year-Old Boy Shot In Brooklyn Crossfire

Police are investigating a possible gang-related shooting after a young boy was wounded Thursday evening.

NEW YORK, NY— A 9-year-old boy was shot and wounded in the crossfire of a suspected gang-related shooting Thursday evening in Brooklyn, police said.

The shooting occurred just before 6 p.m. near 391 Bristol St. in Brownsville.

The child was struck in the back of the leg and was not the intended target, according to police.

He was transported to Maimonides Medical Center and is listed in stable condition.

Police said multiple officers responded to the scene.

At least three suspects fled, and no arrests have been made.
