BROOKLYN, NY — Michelin unveiled its newest lineup of New York City restaurants earning a spot in the prestigious guide on Wednesday, with Brooklyn claiming the largest share of fresh additions.

Michelin updates its guide twice a year, spotlighting newcomers that could later earn its coveted Star distinction when awards are announced in the fall.

Some may also find themselves on the Bib Gourmand list—an honor reserved for restaurants offering high-quality meals at approachable prices.

This spring’s update features nine newly recognized eateries, with Brooklyn edging out Manhattan for the most nods.

For readers less familiar, the Michelin Guide is the internationally recognized dining authority that periodically grants its coveted Stars and other honors to standout restaurants around the world.

Later this year, a regional ceremony—encompassing New York and other Northeast cities along with Chicago—will announce which of the latest contenders earn Stars or Bib Gourmands.
