BROOKLYN, NY— Greenpoint residents on several North Brooklyn blocks will soon avoid overnight alternate side parking restrictions after the city approved new street cleaning hours, according to a community announcement from council member Lincoln Restler.
The New York City Department of Transportation approved changes for blocks that currently ban parking from midnight to 3 a.m. The new alternate side parking hours will run from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. on:
The notice said the Department of Transportation expects sign replacements to take between three and six months.
“Unfortunately, it will take DOT 3-6 months to update the street signs, but we will do our best to get this implemented as quickly as possible,” Restler wrote in an announcement.
