Teen, Man Shot In Brooklyn: NYPD

Police are searching for the fleeing suspect.

BROOKLYN, NY— A 17-year-old boy and a 27-year-old man were injured in a shooting in Crown Heights on Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

Gunfire erupted near Bedford Avenue and Montgomery Street just after 12:30 p.m., the NYPD said.

Police said the teenager was shot in the arm.

The 27-year-old man was shot in the arm and abdomen.

Emergency medical services transported both victims to Kings County Hospital, where they are expected to recover, according to police.

Investigators said the suspect wore all black and ran westbound on Montgomery Street after the shooting.

Officers secured the area and established a crime scene.

A shoe was seen on the sidewalk in front of a nearby storefront as evidence markers were placed.

The investigation is ongoing.
